Welcome to the North Reading Garden Club!

Established in 1956, the North Reading Garden Club’s mission is to further the advancement of gardening, develop skills in floral design, and to cooperate in civic betterment. The Club is a member of The Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts, Inc. and the National Garden Clubs. This membership gives club members a chance to enter flower show competitions, attend flower and landscape design schools and to become flower show judges. The club has grown steadily in its scope and plays an important role of the beautification of the Town of North Reading.

Our theme this year is “Enhancing environmental awareness…one garden at a time.”

MEETINGS: The North Reading Garden Club meets on the second Wednesday of each month, September through June, with no meeting in January. Meetings start at 7:00 p.m. in the Flint Memorial Library Activity Room, 147 Park Street, North Reading (unless otherwise noted on our meeting schedule). Community Projects

Civic beautification projects in North Reading include our Adopt an Island program, maintaining the flowering garden at the “Welcome to North Reading” sign on the Town Common, maintaining the garden at Ipswich River Park, providing holiday wreaths for the town buildings each December, and hosting the Art in Bloom event at the Flint Memorial Library… Continue reading Community Projects
